New 2003 Domain

Postby tgeia on Fri Jan 21, 2005 4:21 pm

finished setting up a new Windows 2003 Active directory in my company with a new domain name.
Everything works fine, but one thing is really annoying.
All the windows 2000 workstations are login in instantly BUT all windows XP workstation login is about 2 minutes long!
However, when I log in with the domain admin password..it's instantly.
The problem is only with the new created users.

Error 1053 on the DC

Any Help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I have moved the topic to here ;)
Well can you tell me where you get this error message?

From the Windows System documentation, error 1053 means the following:
Code: Select all
//
// MessageId: ERROR_SERVICE_REQUEST_TIMEOUT
//
// MessageText:
//
//  The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
//  fashion.
//
#define ERROR_SERVICE_REQUEST_TIMEOUT    1053L
