I am evaluating EventReporter for one of my customers. I have configured a service including filters and an action. The action is to send an email. The email server (Exchange) requires SMTP authentication. I have specified the correct username and password. But when EventReporter tries to send an email, I get the following error:

Error is 'Mail Server Login failure - user name or password rejected: Sent: XXXXXXXXXX=
Received: 535 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful.

This string is not what I entered in the password field.

This string is your password BASE64 Encoded. Therefor I removed it from your post, so nobody can reverse it.

Check if your Emailserver does allow authentication based on BASE64. I could imagine that this has been disabled in your emailserver.
