Hello,

I have installed V8.4 on a W2k3 DC, but the service cant open the Security log... I have tested it with Local System account and with a D.Admin one... But on both cases i got this msg on eventlog.
Any one aware of what can cause this?

Hi,

in the general options, please enable Debug logging with full output.
Then start EventReporter, let it run for a minute and stop it.

Send the debuglogfile it generates ti support@adiscon.com, we will handle the case from there then. Once we find the reason and a solution, we can post it here for others.

1st of all, thanks for the fast reply
I will do what you ask and send the info asap.
Btw i forgot to say that the version aim testing its a "trial" one, since we need to decide on what client to use to export the logs to Splunk server. I doubt that this will be relevant anyway.

I will take a look on V9 asap then.
But since i have done some tests on my desktop on V8.4 i used the same one to set on the DC.
I have sent the file by e-mail already and i have set this forum link as subject, and your name on it.
